The Group presents its first Sustainability Report pertaining to 2009, which is a prior compilation of the initiatives undertaken in the various markets where it operates, as well as of the various Stakeholders involved.

 

This first report will not be subject to verification by an external company; however, it shows all of the effort and commitment of the Group companies and employees regarding Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

 

In order to bring about and outline work limits, the Corporate Social Responsibility Commission, together with the SGPS, has determined that its main concerned parties are its Partners, Suppliers, Financial Institutions, its Shareholders and Employees, the Company, its Customers and the Media. As concerns foreign markets, with special emphasis on Angola, Cape Verde and Romania. Concerned Parties also include the State itself and a few NGO´s.

 

For 2010 and subsequent years, the Holding will remain committed to developing its CSR, in the various markets where it operates, combining the creation of value with respect for the Environment and the construction of a sustained future.
